PRIVATE HIRE DETAILS: EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW

  • At The Rat Pack, we know how to host private parties better than anyone else in Edinburgh.

    Whether you're planning a corporate event, birthday party, anniversary or team gathering, we set a whole new standard for what a party can be.

    The venue was fully refurbished in April 2025, continuing a tradition that has been ongoing for over 20 years, providing memorable experiences to thousands of guests.

  • The bar is available for private hire seven days a week. Each date is subject to a set minimum spend and group size for private parties. We are fully licensed from 2:00 pm until 3:00 am.

  • Professional door stewards are provided as standard, ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment throughout your event.
    You are also welcome to appoint your host to work alongside our stewards if you wish.

  • With a long-standing network of professional musicians, many of whom have performed with us for years, we can offer a wide variety of entertainment options. Choose from:

    • Whole American piano bar experience

    • Guitar and vocals

    • Jazz piano

    • Piano with vocalist

    • hree-piece band

    • DJ

  • We offer a selection of finger food to complement your event. As we do not operate a full kitchen on-site, all items are served cold or at room temperature.

  • Our venue is equipped with professional sound equipment. However, you are welcome to provide your digital playlist if you wish.

  • A minimum spend applies to all private bookings. This ensures the booking is commercially viable for the venue. If the full minimum spend is not reached, the shortfall will be deducted from your deposit.

  • Deposits are taken in advance to secure the date, contribute towards the minimum spend, and act as cover against any damages that may occur.

    • The venue is licensed from 2:00 pm to 3:00 am. Any extension outside of these hours would require an occasional licence, which we can apply for on your behalf. A minimum of 40 days’ notice is required for licence applications.

    • Strictly over-18s only. No persons under the age of 18 will be permitted entry.

    • All guests must vacate the premises by 3:00 am.

    • Bookings are only confirmed once the agreed deposit has been received.
